– Always be closing.  The way you’ve been “trained” to sell is manipulative and coercive.  You alienate good people from the start who will now never trust you or refer you.  Closing is a natural conclusion to a good conversation where you helped the prospects who need you and what you have to offer.

Lie #5 – Everybody needs what you have.  This is part of the reason you have to work so hard to eke out a living.  You don’t know how to communicate what you do in a way that interests the right people, and you don’t know how to limit your focus so you can make more money.
